Introduction: Corey Krupa

Hey everyone, my name is Corey Krupa and I am a Junior from Chicago. I am a Journalism Major with a minor in Sport Management and I hope to become a Sports Journalist someday. I played baseball growing up since the age of 5 and it is definitely one of my favorite sports. My other favorite sports include football and hockey. I am also a diehard Chicago sports fan and my favorite teams are "Da Bears," White Sox, Blackhawks, and sometimes the Bulls. This past summer I was able to attend the Blackhawks Stanley Cup victory parade in downtown Chicago and it was amazing. The parade had an estimated crowd of 3 million people and it was definitely worth getting up at 5 a.m. for. If I could see any male athlete perform it would be Jonathan Toews, Captain of the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. He is a selfless leader and is everything that you would want in a Captain. He is only 25 years old and he already has two Stanley Cup rings, an Olympic Gold medal, a Conn Smythe and too many other accomplishments to name. If I could see any female athlete perform it would probably be either Hope Solo or Alex Morgan. They both are very talented and they both helped create more interest about soccer in the United States. I am looking forward to this class because I love sports and I love to discuss sports with people that share similar or opposing views.
