Hello everyone! My name is Chris Lang, I am a Senior here at Bowling Green State University. I am a Sport Management Major with emphasis on General Business. This is my last semester of classes and I am planning on doing my final internship this Spring. I haven't locked one down just yet, but I am applying everywhere and had a few conversations with possible sites. I originally transferred to BGSU from a community college located in southwest Michigan. It has been a fun two years, but I am really excited to almost done.
I live just of campus right now, and I also work at the library checking in new incoming books and taking care of outgoing UPS shipments. I am also a volunteer at the Stroh Center so if you need any information on upcoming games or concerts don't hesitate to ask. It has been a crazy start to the semester for me with everything going on for the football home opener. I am just hoping that I will be able to keep up and manage everything well.
On the first day I mentioned the athletes that I would most like to see play right now. For the woman I chose softball pitcher Jenny Finch. I just think it would be cool to be able to watch someone who is the one reason why people know about high level softball. She is retired right now I believe, it would have been really fun to get to see her perform and even better to try and get a hit off of her myself. For the men I said that it would have to be either Mike Trout or Matt Harvey. I think right now I would love to see Matt Harvey even though he is probably going to have Tommy John surgery soon on his throwing arm. He was just an incredible young talent that had a lot of confidence and swagger when he was on the mound. I have loved baseball ever since I was a kid so that is probably why I didn't pick anyone from another sport.
I hope that this semester goes well, and I look forward to working with everyone! My goal is to come out of this class with an A. Long term I am hoping to be able to run a professional facility one day as the general manager. I definitely have some work ahead of me.
